In this recipe, you’ll learn how to create a report that shows you how many views each article in your knowledge base received, regardless of language, grouped under one title in your preferred language. This report is both streamlined (no duplicate rows for multiple languages) and human readable (no article IDs in place of reader-friendly article titles).

Creating the report
As part of this report, you’ll create one standard calculated metric and two standard calculated attributes.
To create the metric
- In Explore, click the reports () icon.
- In the Reports library, clickNew report.
- On theSelect a datasetpage, clickGuide>Guide -亚博官方app,然后单击Start report. The report builder opens.
- Click theCalculations() menu >Standard calculated metric.
- Name this metricViews for all languages.
- In theFormulafield, enter the following:
ATTRIBUTE_FIX(SUM(Article views), [Article ID])

- Click theCalculations() menu >Standard calculated attribute.
- Name this attributeLocation plus article ID.
- In theFormulafield, enter the following:
IF [Article ID] != "" THEN
[Article ID] + [Article locale]
ENDIF - ClickSave.
Now that you’ve created this attribute, incorporate it into the next attribute to return only the English article title for a given article ID.
To create the second attribute
- Click theCalculations() menu and clickStandard calculated attribute.
- Name this attributeEnglish article title(you can replace “English” with any other language you’re using).
- In theFormulafield, enter the following (if you're working in a different language, replace "en-us" with your own language code.):
IF (CONTAINS(LOWERCASE([Location plus article ID]),"en-us"))
THEN [Article title]
ENDIF - ClickSave.
To create the report
- In theMetricspanel, clickAddand selectCalculated metrics>Views for all languages(the metric you created above).
- In theRowspanel, clickAddand selectCalculated attributes>English article title(the second attribute you created above).
- Name your reportArticle views for all languages.
- ClickSave.
