We are now allowing Explore admins to view and edit all dashboards created within the same account.
What’s changing?
Explore admins now have automatic access to all dashboards in the account. To support this change, we’ve updated the tabs in the dashboard library:
- The previousAlltab has been renamed toShared with me. This tab lists the dashboards that have been shared with you as well as the ones you created. This is the default tab when opening the dashboard library.
- TheMy dashboardstab remains unchanged, and lists only the dashboards you have created.
- The newAlltab, visible only to admins, lists all dashboards within your account.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
Admins need to see which dashboards have been created and shared so that they’re aware of what data is being communicated and to whom.
Previously, admins didn’t have a way to see and manage all dashboards created within the same account. This could cause issues with dashboard administration, such as when a user who had created dashboards left the company.
With this feature, we’re empowering admins by giving them better oversight of dashboards.
What do I need to do?
You don't need to do anything to activate this feature in your account.

Finally! This is fantastic news. Thank youWalter Bellante
Wohooo! Nice one.
Can we limit some admins to only see their reports and not all reports?
I'm curious if we will be able to check a box in a role for who can view all dashboards - like what we have with other permission in Zendesk for a role.
HiLydia Forsyth,
thanks for sharing your feedback.
We currently do not plan to customize what admins can see and edit all dashboards.
If you want to hide this capability to some of your users, I would recommend looking into assigning them the Editor role.
