历史上标签, you can permanently delete chat conversations and attachments. You can either delete a chat, including any attachments, or you can delete attachments individually from a chat. Deleted chats and attachments are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Administrators can delete chats. Administrators and agents can delete attachments from chats. Access to chats in the History tab might be limited, depending on your role.
Note:When Agent Workspace is enabled, attachments must beredacted from within the ticket.
To delete chats, including any attachments
- In the Chat dashboard, selectHistory.
- Click the check box next to the chat you want to delete.
To locate previous chats in History, seeBrowsing past chats in History.
- Click theActionsdrop-down menu.
- Select删除.
The chat and any attachments will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
To delete individual attachments from chats
- In the Chat dashboard, selectHistory.
- Click the chat that contains the attachment you want to delete.
- Under the attachment title, click删除.
The attachment will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Note:The link for the deleted attachment might be available for up to 24 hours after deletion.

Is there an api endpoint for just deleting attachments from the chat transcript without deleting the whole chat? Or do you need to just use the Update Chat endpoint?

Please note that we, unfortunately, do not have an API endpoint that would allow us to delete chat attachments separately from chats, and that would not also function with the Update Chat endpoint.

what you could do, would be to run an API call to bulk delete the Chat history.

I need to delete an attachment from a Chat history.
But the "Delete" option wasn't showing under the attachment title.

There is currently no bulk delete API for this but you can create a script using the REST APIs to delete them over time.
