When you add live data widgets to your Explore Enterprise dashboards, these don't support multiple selections. For example, your report contains theSolved ticketslive widget and you want to only show results for the ticket groups namedExplore group oneandExplore group 2.
In this Explore recipe, you'll learn how you can use bookmarks and dashboard tabs to let you examine live data for multiple groups on separate tabs within a dashboard.
For help with creating dashboards containing live data and live data filters, see添加实时数据和过滤部件dashbo生活ards.
This recipe contains the following sections:
What you'll need
Skill level: Intermediate
Time required: 15 minutes
- Zendesk Explore Enterprise
- Editor or Admin permissions (seeGiving agents access to Explore)
- Ticket data in Zendesk Support
- One available live data widget and one available live data filter for each dashboard tab you want to add. For details about live data widget limits, seeLive data limits for Explore dashboards.
Creating the dashboard
In this section, you'll create a dashboard containing two tabs. Both tabs will show the live number of solved tickets.
The first tab,Tab 1will show the current number of solved tickets for theExplore group onegroup. The second tab,Tab 2will show the current number of solved tickets for theExplore group twogroup. This enables your report viewers to report solved tickets for each group in the same dashboard without having to configure any filters.
Creating the dashboard
In this first step, you'll create the basic dashboard containing two tabs, one for each group.
To create the dashboard
- In Explore Enterprise, create or open a dashboard. For help, seeCreating dashboards.
- With the dashboard inEditmode, clickAdd>添加选项卡. You'll now have a dashboard with two tabs.
- Double-click the first tab (namedUntitled) and rename it toTab 1.
- Double-click the second tab (also namedUntitled) and rename it toTab 2.
- Click the dashboard title (currentlyUntitled) and give it a name, for example,Live tickets by support group.
You'll now have a dashboard that looks like this:
Configuring the first tab
In this section, you'll set up the first dashboard tab. This tab displays live data for the number of solved tickets. It uses a live data filter and a bookmark to default to showing only data from theExplore group onesupport group.
To configure the first tab
- In Explore Enterprise, create or open a dashboard. For help, seeCreating dashboards.
- With the dashboard inEditmode andTab 1selected, clickAdd>Add live data.
- From theAdd live datalist, chooseSupport - Solved tickets, then clickAdd live data. Explore adds theSolved ticketslive data widget to your dashboard.
- ClickAddagain, then clickAdd live data filters.
- From the list of live data filters, chooseSupport - Ticket group, then clickAdd filters. Explore adds theSupport - Ticket grouplive data filter to your dashboard.
- From theSupport - Ticket grouplive data filter you just added, chooseExplore group one, then clickApply. The live data widget only displays solved tickets forExplore group one.
- Finally, configure a bookmark to ensure that this tab of the dashboard always opens showing solved tickets fromExplore group one. ClickAdd>Add bookmark.
- On theBookmarkpanel, checkHide reset button, then clickCreate bookmark from current state.
- Give the bookmark a name likeExplore group one, click the pin icon to make this the default bookmark, then clickClose.
You'll finish up with a tab that looks similar to the following. Whenever you open the tab, the solved ticket are shown live forExplore group one.
Configuring the second tab
Now, you'll set up the second tab. The method you use to configure this tab is very similar to how you set up the first tab.
To configure the second tab
- Follow the instructions inConfiguring the first tabwith the following changes:
- Before you start, clickTab 2.
- In theSupport - Ticket grouplive data filter, chooseExplore group two(see Step 6 in the previous procedure).
- Name the bookmarkExplore group two(see Step 9 above).
You'll finish up with a tab that looks similar to the following. Whenever you open the tab, the solved ticket are shown live forExplore group two.
Finishing things up
The final thing to do is to hide the bookmarks you added. Because you locked each to only one group and can't be configured by dashboard viewers, there is no need to display them.
To hide the dashboard bookmarks
Perform the following procedure on each of the two dashboard tabs,Tab 1andTab 2.
- With the dashboard inEditmode, click the down arrow next to the bookmark.
- From the list of options, clickHide. The bookmark is hidden from view.
Tip:If you want to restore the hidden bookmarks to make further changes, with the dashboard in edit mode, clickShow hidden widgets.

How do you use this method to then send these reports via the scheduler? Is there a way to do that instead of having to go into Zendesk Explore directly?
Hi Juan,
Thanks for reaching out! Scheduled dashboard deliveries will reflect the default bookmark upon delivery. In order to make a bookmark the default filtered state you will need to pin it upon creation. All of this will need to be done within the edit dashboard mode in the Explore UI. After these changes are published the default (pinned) bookmark should be reflected within the next schedule delivery.
If this isn't quite what you're looking for let me know and I'd be happy to take another look!
