In this Explore recipe, you’ll learn how to calculate the average number of days it takes for a deal to close, starting from whenthe deal was added in Zendesk Sell. This information helps you better understand your average sales cycle length.

Creating the report
- In Explore, click the reports () icon.
- In the Reports library, clickNew report.
- On theSelect a datasetpage, clickSell>Sell - Sales,然后单击Start report. The report builder opens.
- Tocreate a calculated metricfor how many days it took a deal to close, go to theCalculations() menu and selectStandard calculated metric.
- 名度规Days taken to close.
- In theFormulafield, enter the following:
DATE_DIFF([Time - Deal closed - Date],[Time - Deal added on - Date],"nb_of_days")

- From the list, selectDays taken to close(the metric you just created),change the aggregatortoAVG, and then clickApply.
- In theColumnspanel, clickAdd.
- From the list, selectTime - Deal Closed - Month, and then clickApply.
- To filter the report to just this year, click theTime - Deal closed - Monthattribute on the left, clickEdit date ranges中,选择This year, and clickApply.
- To change the report to a column chart, clickVisualization type() and selectColumn.
- To show the total for each column, clickChart configuration() and selectDisplayed values.
- Next toShow value中,选择Show.
